I have been in sales or leadership for 30 years! It has been a successful 14 years now in the talent acquisition business, with five more in leadership where I also recruited talent for my teams. I have always recruited top-level talent. It has been a great run as I have been part of hundreds of hires in companies that are fairly small and privately held to Fortune 50 global businesses. Information Technology, Telecommunications, Staffing and Recruiting, Construction, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Industrial Distribution are all areas where I have excelled at by providing good long term hires. Prior to starting Synergy Recruiting Solutions, I have had many experiences to add to my passion for service and sales. After graduating from the University of Northern Iowa, I started working for a Fortune 500 company and learned firsthand how to offer the best service on top of a well-recognized brand. It was here that I learned the value of training and accountability. I then went to work for a privately held company and learned both operations and sales. It was much different, we didn’t have a well-known company name to lead with. All we had was service and our relational skills. I grew over time to become a National Account Representative calling on two of the world’s largest grocers, and calling on nearly everyone in the Midwest. I have since lead two sales teams in two different industries. My goal was always to have the best team by attracting top-talent, developing those fine people, and encouraging that talent to go above and beyond what they thought possible. My favorite part of the recruiting Industry is that I get an extraordinary sense of accomplishment like never before. My job is done well when I help both company and candidate with a match for the best long term fit. It’s not enough to attract a star performer, long term fit (understanding Client Need and the Candidate strengths) is important for a win-win. I separate from much of my competition with this two pronged approach.

How do you the client know who to choose: First, is the company going to represent you well within the marketplace (i.e. and extension of you). A recruiter who brings Midwestern values and work ethic to the search, who with their process brings the best available candidates to review, who will bring confidentiality and protection of your brand to the search, and in the end brings over 14 years and interaction with over 1000 searches and counting. As a candidate, I often get asked what this will cost me. Nothing other than time and a need for full transparency.
